Breakthrough seeks outstanding educators to serve as Mentor Teachers for Breakthrough’s young teachers (ages 16 – 23) during our academic Summer Programs.
Breakthrough Mentor Teachers set the standards of classroom teaching in our program. They play a vital role in training and supporting our faculty, refining and developing the summer curriculum, and shaping Breakthrough’s learning environment. Competitive salary is based upon experience.

About Breakthrough
Breakthrough Austin creates first-generation college graduates. The program admits students in middle school and makes a long-term commitment to helping them graduate from high school and enter college by providing academic summer programs, individualized academic support and enrichment and college-prep activities for students and families. Breakthrough Austin operates two summer sites: one for rising 6th and 7th graders at Manor New Tech High School and one for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders at the University of Texas at Austin. Austin’s 2012 Summer Program dates are June 4 – August 3.
