Now Hiring Teaching Fellows: Spend a Summer Teaching and Earn a Lifetime of Memories

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, and successful high school seniors and college students to join the Breakthrough team as AmeriCorps Summer Teaching Fellows! Under the guidance of seasoned teaching professionals, Teaching Fellows will lead their own classroom to teach English, math, social studies, or science to small classes of middle school students.

The Teaching Fellow program is a great opportunity for high school and college students to practice their leadership, creativity, and problem-solving, while making a profound difference in the lives of Breakthrough students. The service period runs from June 5 to August 4, and includes two weeks of training, and six weeks of teaching in Breakthrough’s rigorous Middle School Summer Program.

As AmeriCorps members, Teaching Fellows will receive a living stipend, and are eligible for an Education Award upon completion of their service. Affordable housing is available through our partnership with College Houses
