Every year, Breakthrough students beat the odds to become high school graduates and the first in their families to enroll in college.

Breakthrough makes a significant and positive impact on the lives of students and families:

Breakthrough students graduate from college at 5 times the rate of other low-income high school graduates in Central Texas.

100% of students graduated from high school on time in the past three years–far exceeding the average completion rate of low-income students in Central Texas. Since 2008, only 71% of low-income students in Central Texas graduated from high school on time.

Breakthrough students’ average college enrollment rate (77%) is significantly higher than the college enrollment rate for their Central Texas low-income peers (46%).

Breakthrough seniors are “college-ready” based on state standards at more than twice the rate of similar non-Breakthrough students.

Breakthrough students consistently make academic progress in reading, writing, and math each summer.

Breakthrough students stay engaged. Our attrition rate of less than 10% is extremely low.
